OVER-COMFORTABLE

Having met her sweetheart
She got so comfortable in love
to listen to his complaints,
and correct her mistakes.
Too secured to notice he has changed.

“Braiding my hair no longer matters,
He has seen many of such on me.
I can now tie rapper 2-4-7
He knows how I look in a jean already.
I can now eat fats, anything is edible,
after all, he’s promised me eternity”
Words that only exist in the dico realm

She was so comfortable
until she comfortably lost her man,
to a woman who was uncomfortable,
so uncomfy with being lonely
and had to stop being jealous
about what makes her uncomfortable;
about her relationship.

FN: You need to realize that—a comfort zone is a beautiful place. Sadly, nothing that grew ever grows there.

PERFECT MATCH!

To find that perfect match;
who blends to your taste
believes in your tiny big dreams
never too busy to have your time
ready to share with you everything
even thy last penny,
and finds comfort only in your arms.

To find that perfect match;
loved and respected, yet feared.
Who scolds all wrong,
And then goes ahead to mop your flaws
even with kisses and sensations
that totally sweetens your libido.

To find that perfect match;
who takes you for who you are
sees beauty in your imperfections
And, ready to cherish them,
till thy dying day—
Is indeed the best prize
life can bestow a single soul.

PITY, NOT LOVE!

Gleefully,
She hurriedly packed her bags,
And left without no goodbyes,
Shortly after he told her that—
He’s no longer interested.

In a twinkle of an eye,
Life dawned upon him,
What he never wanted to believe,
That for the past ten years now,
He had been living with a prisoner,
In a cell,
Where they both called a home.

HOPE

I have a poem..
Not for the survivors
But for the surviving
Trudging the desert of life
Living in desolation
Breeding loneliness from the inside
Coping with frustration
Double-dating anger and sadness

I have a poem...
Not for those eating with ten fingers,
but for those living from hands to mouth.
No, not for those born with a golden spoon,
but for those born with a wooden spoon
Yet, lost it to a burning roof
It's a slake-lime for the coughing,
an antidote for the poisoned
a curing herb for the sick,
a chilling pill for the bewildered,
a new song for the broken hearted.

Yes! I have a poem...
Not for warriors on the battlefield,
But for the soldiers of love
whose soulmate flee without a warning
to help stop the hands of time,
as their brains pump blood faster than their hearts.
And to whom professes of love have turned sour for,
to help add honey to their sourpous mind
as the promises of fidelity turns out a deceit.

This poem I have...
You need not check the calendar
Cos I have no hidden agenda,
neither an intention of rewriting the past
just want to make a clear cast,
to simply help erase the ‘less’
Written at the back of hopeless.

MURDER, NOT SUICIDE!

MURDER, NOT SUICIDE!

Agony from self-inflicted pains,
hands eaten up by chains,
antidotes left to dissolve in the rain,
beseech is the masquerade of death with hands full of cains.
"Yes pain, yes gain"
So he sings as he dances, and steps on the slains.

How can life be such tight
that nothing else seems to be right,
other than willingly procured gnashes and bites?
even when the harmful snake refuses to bite.

Life is not a bed of roses
You can ask Rose.
Not about what she lacks,
just mention to her the name 'Jack'
She will tell you -no one knew if it would be rosy
fact remains they only made a promise.

Promise as a stance of hope
hope to help cope
with the stones on the bed of life,
where we all marry a wife,
and even bury kisses on her lips
just before we fall asleep
on a stone-cushioned kip.

Have you all the problems in this world
or why the intention to slap a warlord?
Is the order from your Lord?
than you choose hearkening to his words.
Or is it fashioned out of the word, brave?
than you decide to snap a selfie whilst you dig your own grave.

Many reasons reasoned for the cause of such action.
No, it's frustration! No it's weariness!
Valiance or weakness?
Being wise or just a lifeshow of foolishess?
Perhaps, being kind to mankind.
Given excuses of so many kinds.
add salt to a wound, trek the wound near drops of salt
yet, its being called all sorts.
As if there's a justification for such act of anger;
Anger is anger!

Why not just be patient, and wait for tomorrow to come,
or what the day after tomorrow will become.

From any angle you look at it,
the decision to do it is never the last option, no matter the heat,
deep introspection slash retrospection into it,
you'll see it's never worth it.

Just chew a chilling pill,
rather than a death pill,
You don't have to be a killer
before you be tagged a 'murderer'
Suicide is the first son of murder
She graduated with a first class in the faculty of Murdery
Her name is suicide, but let us be frank here, you don't need to be in such a hurry.

Just wait a lil bit,
you can even put on some fine kits,
have some fun far away from the dug pit
it will surely get better, I bet.
But if it happens I lose the bet,
kindly take some more cheese
don't kill yourself yet, please.
Sooner or later, let's say, any which way;
you're still gonna die, anyway.
